Who I Am
I'm Andy Fenton, I'm a Chartered Management Accountant and a Xero advisor and I help owner managed entrepreneurial businesses improve their processes and understand their numbers.
Let's face it, managing accounts can not only be boring but also time consuming. There are more exciting things for business owners to be doing. But as a senior accountant with more than 17 years experience, I love it, it's what I do.

I have worked in many different areas of finance for companies with turnover from £0.5 million to £1.5 billion and gained valuable knowledge and experience to be able to provide business owners with the help and support they need.

Business owners make better decisions when they have regular visibility of company performance. This can be reported in a multitude of ways. I tailor regular reporting to your specific requirements, whether these are financial or non-financial reports. It's about you having the information you need, as often as you need, to help you make your decisions.

Because "Cash is King"
It is important to forecast your company's future cash position; this allows you to prepare for what the future may hold. I work with you to use your actual numbers to give you a picture of how you will need to spend your money, so that the future has less surprises. I can also deal with external finance businesses on your behalf.
Budgeting/Forecasting
Who knows what the future holds?
When you have a plan, you can measure your performance. I work with you before the start of the year to put a budget in place, this gives you a target to work towards. These targets can be reviewed as the year progresses to factor in the real story and give a more realistic view of the year. This process can also be used to plan growth and see what effects this would have on costs and profits.
Process Development
Because "We've always done it that way"
I will work with you to review how the finance tasks are being completed. Sometimes tasks can just evolve without reviewing the process; by reviewing and setting up processes, procedures and controls makes the running of the business easier. Being a Xero advisor I have first hand knowledge and experience of cloud accounting and the efficiencies they can offer.
